NEV - Street Legal

Neighborhod Electric Vehicle (NEV), Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) and Street Legal Golf Cart are all terms that refer to essentially the same thing.  That is, a golf cart that is legal to drive on the street just like an automobile.  However, there are restrictions and requirements that differ from those that apply to automobiles.

A Street Legal golf cart must be powered by an electric motor and must be capable of a a minimum speed of 20 mph and a maximum speed of 25 mph.  In addition, it can only travel on a street with a speed limit of 35 mph or less, even though it can cross a street with a higher speed limit.  For a full explanation of other requirements and restrictions, please contact us by phone or email.
